Project Description

The Southern Appalachia of North Carolina is positively pregnant with rivers, creeks, waterfalls, cascades, lakes and all manner of water both moving and still. In small rushing creeks where lush green vegetation and moss covered rocks frame soft running water, I can lose myself in moments of zen. It’s beatific. The colors are full and juicy while the contrast is sometimes electric and sometimes sublime. The sounds are soothing. I love being in this atmosphere and I love making images there. Every turn on the path and every new moment brings a new discovery and a new joy. A triumph of nature and the spirit.
